The process of basketball
The activity that I enjoy the most is playing basketball. In order for me to play basketball I have to have at least nine other people to participate. Basketball requires ten people on the court and a group of five people plays against another group of five people. I usually send a couple of my friends a text message asking them if they want to play basketball. Then those friends ask other friends and before you know it you have a bunch of people who just love the game of basketball, want to play, and have fun. As soon as I step on the court I can feel the intensity of the other players and I can tell everyone is focussed on the game. From the ball leaving the referee's hand on the jump ball, everyones emotions change and they go from being happy and carefree into their compettive state. Peoples attitudes and facial expressions are the most interesting to watch in a game of basketball. For me to be successful in a game of basketball my mind has to be focussed on the game and the challenges set before me. I have to think about what the player I am guarding is going to do before they do it. I have to study their movements and remember how they play in a certain situation and I have to learn how to read their movements. The deffensive part of basketball is the most important. Deffense can either win or lose the game. On the offensive part I also have to be focussed on my form and how i shoot the ball. When the deffense is on me I have to think about each move I make because I have to keep the ball in my hands, get it to a teammate saftely, or score a basket. I have to play my hardest and hope my teammates do the same because it takes all five people working together to win a basketball game.
